Class Descriptions:
Early Morning Yoga -
This is a 1 hour class designed to energize and center you for
the day.
Basic
Yoga -
This class is appropriate for the student with some yoga
experience and for those who are brand new. The emphasis will
be on poses that strengthen and stretch the legs, hips, back,
core and shoulders providing an understanding of the foundations
of a “basic” yoga practice. The class will be taught using the
principles of Anusara yoga that align us into our own
individual, optimal form and well being. Students will be
introduced to gentle vinyasa flow in the form of basic Sun
Salutations, basic breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation
and relaxation. This class is 90 minutes long.

Open Hatha -
Good for all levels from beginners to advanced. This class
explores and refines the Asanas (poses), making them your own,
so you can deepen your experience and understanding. You
will be encouraged to work safely and at your own level.

Vinyasa Flow -
This is a challenging class. Challenging you to listen to your
body and not get caught up in the ego. You must have
previous yoga experience and be familiar with the basic postures
and principles of alignment.

Gentle
Therapeutic Yoga -
Do you prefer a gentler more restorative
practice? Are you stressed? Coming back from injury
or surgery? This is the class for you. These one
hour classes are designed to created a healthy body and a
peaceful mind. This is an ongoing series.

Meditation/Thich nhat Hahns - style is
based upon the Vietnamese Zen Buddhist Master teachings.
Participants need not to be Buddhist in order to practice.
There is no fee.

Belly Dance - Belly
dance is the oldest form of dance, having roots in all ancient
cultures from the orient to India to the Mid-East.
Throughout history, this ritualized expression was usually
performed for other women, generally during fertility rites or
parties preparing a young woman for marriage. Tribal
dancing is an elegant, graceful form of dance that uses
combination moves from American Tribal Style (ATS). Tribal
fusion is a mixture of ATS, cabaret, and other native styles.

Eye of the
Tiger Practice - The 'TIGER' practice
is used to build upon your existing practice, developing greater
stamina, strength and flexibility as well as challenging the
steadiness of the mind and breath. Poses are held for 30
sec. to 1 minute and many repeated numerous times. The
practice is appropriate for practioners of all levels. Class fee
is $15.

Chair Yoga - If you
would like to practice yoga but sitting on the floor just
doesn't work for your body this class is designed for you! In
this class seated and some standing poses will be done using a
chair for support. You will enjoy greater strength, muscle
tone and flexibility as well as the benefits of increased breath
awareness. Class fee is $ 10.
