Biographies <back
 Myra Ancheta
Myra Ancheta is from
San Francisco, California, which is home
for several nationally acclaimed Middle Eastern dancers. Her background
includes Latin, hip-hop, and ballroom dancing. Myra's extensive
traveling experience has enabled her to attend various workshops and to
be trained in various styles to include Afro-Cuban, Classical Indian,
Cabaret, and Tribal belly dance.
Currently, Myra performs with the local tribal
fusion troupe, Fuzzy Navels. She is the proud recipient of a third place
award presented at the Zuri Choreography Contest in Mobile, AL.
Exhibitions and past performances have been conducted at the Annual
King's Feast Renaissance Festival,
AG Edwards, Mobile's Recreational Center ,
Casino Magic and Imperial Palace Casino in Biloxi, MS. She has given
workshops for the Red Hat Society and other sororities. She most enjoys
her yearly summer belly dance camp for kids!
