Carol completed her first 230
hour Teacher Training program in 2002 at the Asheville Yoga School.
Her studies in Asheville were multi-disciplinary exposing Carol to
many forms of yoga. It is during this time that she was first
introduced to Anusara Yoga. Since that time Carol has devoted her
time to the in-depth study of Anusara Yoga. Carol has been
fortunate to study with many of the countries leading Anusara
teachers, including John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga.
To build upon her more than 300 hours of
Anusara training, Carol will begin a Anusara Yoga Teacher training
in September 2008 under the exceptional guidance of three certified
Anusara teachers; Kelley Gardner, Sarah Faircloth and Stacey
Collins. Carol has been inspired to study Anusara as a path that
leads beyond flexibility and muscle tone. Anusara, which means
'opening to grace' is meant to be a practice of the heart. By
practicing yoga with inspired physical alignment we take our bodies
out of pain and discomfort and allow yourself to line up with
something bigger than the self. That deep connection unveils to
us all the beauty that the world has to offer.
In addition to her ongoing yoga practice
Carol holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and is completing her
Master's degree in Holistic Nutrition. She lives by the sea with
her husband , two amazing daughters and several pets.
